Oakland placed Chad Bradford on the disabled list on August 9th. Bradford was beginning to feel a problem with his back, so rather than risk complicating the injury or overtaxing the rest of the bullpen while he took a couple of days off, the A's sent the 29-year-old to the DL to rest. He anticipates being ready to return when he is first eligible to come off the DL on August 23rd.
