by Jessica Polko Houston placed Andy Pettitte on the disabled list yesterday, though the move was retroactive to April 7th. Pettitte hurt his elbow on a checked swing while batting during his start on Tuesday. An MRI on Thursday reportedly revealed inflammation around the elbow and a strained flexor tendon.
