San Diego recently locked Jake Peavy into a four-year, $14.5M contract that includes a $500,000 buyout on an $8M option for 2009. Under the term of the contract, Peavy reportedly will receive $750,000 in 2005, $2.5M in 2006, $4.75M in 2007, and $6M in 2008.
