Anaheim placed Jeff DaVanon on the disabled list yesterday. DaVanon apparently has been playing with lower back pain for some time. The Angels hope that a trip to the DL will allow him to defeat his back spasms, so that he will be healthy for the last month of the season and possibly the playoffs.
