Arizona called up LHP Chris Capuano, RHP Edgar Gonzalez, 1B-L Lyle Overbay, LHP Eddie Oropesa, RHP John Patterson, and LHP Dennys Reyes, while also activating 1B-L Mark Grace from the DL when rosters expanded on September 1st. With the exception of Reyes, all of their call-ups were in the majors with the Diamondbacks at some point earlier in the season.

Reyes signed a minor league deal with Arizona in June and reported to AAA Tucson in the Pacific Coast League. Prior to September, he compiled a 30:22 K:BB with 24 H and 0 HR allowed in 31.2 IP for a 2.84 ERA over 33 appearances for Tucson.
