Despite firing their GM just days before the trading deadline, Cincinnati may be the most active seller in this year's market. On Tuesday, the Reds shipped Scott Williamson to the Red Sox for LHP Phil Dumatrait and a player to be named later or cash. Yesterday, Cincinnati sent Jose Guillen to the Athletics for Aaron Harang, Joe Valentine, and Jeff Bruksch. The club likely will move Aaron Boone and Rick White before the deadline today.

Boston drafted Dumatrait out of Bakersfield California Junior College with 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2000 draft. He spent the remainder of that season with their Rookie-level Gulf Coast League affiliate and returned there for most of 2001, though he also spent a short time at Lowell in the Short-Season New York-Pennsylvania League.
