Arizona: Chad Moeller, C
35/106 for .330/.381/.528 with 4 HR, 9 RBI, 12 R, 0/2 SB%,
and a 9:23 BB:K.

Moeller's historical skills suggest he's capable of holding a .300 batting average, and his .909 OPS is in line with the .852 mark he posted in 2002. A career-best 3.82 #P/A and solid 1.33 G-F both indicate solid long-term upside, and he doesn't suffer from any significant platoon split. The troubling number here is that his .08 walk rate is barely half of his .16 last season, however I don't see a logical reason for the drop given Moeller's other skills. We will see his averages drop, but he remains a solid backstop and an asset to most fantasy teams; wait on Moeller unless you can make an obvious upgrade to your team.

Today's Fantasy Rx: The beginning of this season's interleague play tonight should provide a nice respite for any team suffering from poor pitching outings as every hitter should oppose a few pitchers he's never previously faced. However Colorado, Houston, and Cincinnati play at home all week, and even the Expos are in the hitters' paradise in Puerto Rico. We could see a mix of slugfests and shutouts given the extreme park differentials, so don't grow either too pleased or upset with your players until we move past this small three-week sample and can view these performances in the context of the entire first half.
